I need to find out if the pcgu1000 can create complex digital signals before I commit to buying. Was told that this forum can answer.
The complex signals i need to create is shown in example specifications below.
Three 0.5 ms pulses each pulse 1 second apart followed by a 15 second pause then repeat 3 pulses. This sequence repeated 40 times ending in a set of four short pulses.
The waveform memory of the PCGU1000 is 8192 samples long.
The shortest pulse can be 1/8192 of the total length of the wave sequence.
You requirements are beyond the capacity of the PCGU1000 to generate the waveform as a single record.
The pulse length you required is 0.5ms and the total length of the wave sequence is 600 seconds. The ratio: total sequence length / pulse length, is 1200000.
If you have not very high time accuracy requirements, then it can be possible to use the wave sequence option of the PCGU1000.
You can use several library waveforms to combine the final required wave sequence.
You may download the software and check this option in demo mode.
