For a project I’m looking for a simple programmable function generator, like the PCGU 1000. However, I’m not sure if the provided software offers the kind of automation I would require. While the required basic waveforms would be quite simple (sine, frequency a few Hertz and voltages between several mV to several V) it would be mandatory to be able to program stepwise increases in voltage and/or frequence over the course of minutes to hours. (Let’s say the pp-voltage increases every 5 min by 100mV for approx. 2 hours and is then kept constant.) Is it possible to write that kind of programs with the software provided?

Please download the software package
“FGUlink pack. DLL for making your own software using our PCGU1000 generator (Rev4 25/5/2009) Driver v5.4.0.0 must be used for XP, Vista and Windows 7”
from this page: velleman.eu/distributor/supp … 1000&type=
There is documentation included.
Thanks for the quick answer. Having had a look at the FGU software the function I was looking for is located in “Tools” > “Wave sequence” Is this option also available with the PCG10?
Indeed, you can use the Wave Sequence instead of the FGU.EXE and the FGULINK.DLL.
The Wave Sequence is very easy to use and no need to use any programming language.
The Wave Sequence option is available with the PCG10 too.
