PCGU 1000 Blinks when changing from one frequency to another

I use the generators for medical use and therefore a constant wave would be fine. I work with PCG10 which had also the problem, but after some intervention the software was changed and the short Blinking between two frequencies was removed at the next software update. No I use the PCGU1000 with my program and there is the same problem. A short Blinking between the cahnging from one frequecny to another. Is there a solution ?

The pause about 600ms is needed to upload new waveform data from the PC to the waveform memory of the generator. At the moment the generator can’t use the memory to output data when new data is written there.
The solution may be to use a dual port memory.
I’ll check the modification and send you the modified configuration file (PCGU1000.BIT) when ready for testing.

OK. Now it works without any pause in between when changing frequency or waveform mode.
I’ll send you the modified configuration file PCGU1000.BIT.
Please copy it to the PC-Lab2000SE folder.
(default C:\Program Files\Velleman\PC-Lab2000SE).

Can you please send the “PCGU1000.BIT”
also to me ?

thanks
Livio

The file is sent to you for testing…
Hope OK.

Thanks for all.
I hope that i can contribute with some testing work…

I have tested the new PCGU1000.BIT in my application ( a automated meter and testing bed for capacitors and inductors ) and it works very well.
Now the wave changes are very smooth, with no blanks, and so in my application I have doubled the speed of the auto-ranging function.

Thank you for the quick test results!
Nice to see that everything seems to work OK and you can speed up the test equipment.
It seems that his upgrade is worth putting to the Velleman downloads site soon too.
