P8095 MP3 player with half an LCD display

Hello!

I finished assembling a P8095 MP3 kit with LCD display and while it generally works quite well only half of the LCD display functions.

The left half of both rows works normally, displaying the song info and folder. The right half of both rows are nothing but solid black blocks.

Any suggestions?

Most probably the LCD module is defective.
