P8055-1 Problem with AD1

Hello,
I am extremely new to Microcontroller programming and Microcontrollers all together. My question is just that when I run the Demo Software for my k8055 it shows that my AD1 reads 208-210 cycling in that range and will not allow me to adjust with RV1. I do have a back gound with electrical and electronic circuits and believe the problem lies in my IC1 due to the constant roaming of value and when I adjust my RV1 it does not change.

Before I buy a new IC1 I would like to have some others thoughts that may bring somelight to this topic.

PS there is not anything attached to the board other than my USB cord. Just in the testing phase so far of the car

Okay I fixed the problem. It was Pin 3 of IC1 had a bad connection on the board. This was toatally a mistake on my part and I am sorry for even posting the question. Hopefully my failure to follow the soldering golden rule will save someone else in the future.
