Objects printed in reverse orientation on the x and y axes

I wonder if someone could shed some light on my problem. I am printing from an sd card which may or may or may not be relevant. After numerous prints I have only just noticed that in comparison with the image on Repetier my objects are printed in the reverse orientation on both the x and y axes but not the z axis. Also, moving an object away from the start position, as shown in Repetier, actually brings it closer to the start position. I probably hadn’t noticed before because I usually just let Repetier automatically locate the object.

Does anyone else have this problem and what is the cause?

Is this with dual extruder? The second ext object position in Repetier Host has a bug, if you move it, it ignores the position after slicing and re-centres the object. Don’t know about reversing the direction of objects - does that matter?

Thank you for response It matters to me as I have changed both the size of the print area and the extruders; it’s also quite interesting to know why it does it.

Thanks again

When you have the model on the screen there should be a black dot on the grid.
This dot should be set to the lower right side of the screen.
In other words this is position 0-0-0.

Wrong Way, on my Vertex the dot on the screen is lower left corner of my bed, not the lower right. Are you looking at it the…wrong way?

No I am looking at the correct way with the start dot on the lower left. But if I select ‘Show Travel Moves’ the printer starts from the upper right. It doesn’t cause me a problem but it would be interesting to know why it appears to be reversed both on the screen and when it actually prints.

The normal start position is at 200,200 thus in the upper right corner.

Could you post a picture of how things are in a reverse position on screen and print?

Hi,

I am seeing it.
If you orientate the dot so it is in the low left corner of you screen it would be set so you are looking at the front of the machine.
