Nozzle is smudging layers

Hey!

I’ve got some issues with my k8400. The nozzle seems to smudge the layers. You can see trails sometimes on the second layer and it gets worse after about 20 layers.
It is almost like the print bed can’t move in time before the head moves to the next step.
I have checked the Z motor and rod, it can move with ease and works fine if i do steps in repetier. The bed is perfectly leveled at 0.3 mm.

Example from side.

It got better with 0.2 mm nozzle height, but still you can see some nozzle smudging.

Any ideas on how/what i shall tweak?

Looks like you are extrunding way too much material.

Try extruding PLA at 195° with 75% flow it should be better.

Thx. I’ll try that

Here is the result.

The earlier print in the link is with the standard pla/printer settings

And this is with the new settings.

worth noting is that this seems to have solved my y axis that skipped sometimes. Just to be more on the safe side i loosened the tension on the belts a little and now i got 2 x flawless 4 hour prints.
thx for the help

Nice to Hear!
Happy printing!

[quote=“exustio”]Don’t forget to change the dl=0 to dl=1 on dropbox links!
