Nozzle is blocked after some prints

Hi@all,

my nozzle is blocked after some prints.
It starts with jerks with the filament feeder as shown in this thraed:

viewtopic.php?f=62&t=14134

I’ve tried to slow down the printing, heat up to 220°, heat down to 195°.
Nothing really helps.
I also tried different filaments.
But after some prints, the nozzle is blocked again.

Sorry, but that is a really NOGO for a 3D Printer!

What is the solution from Velleman to stop this blocking of the nozzle?
I need a working solution and no tries!
I paid a lot of money, like every other user of the vertex.
So please let us now, how to fix it.

Thanks.

Change the retraction settings to these values in the curaengine settings:

Retractions Speed: 110mm/s
Retraction Distance: 3 mm

Also make sure that when you test these new settings you start with fresh filament loaded into the printer. So there is no bend or deformed filament inside the tube.

experiencing this very same issue every couple of prints. The actual hotend seems fine, but the filament gets deformed in the ceramic part (the one before the nozzle) and gets stuck. I already changed the retraction settings as suggested with no luck. What’s happening?
the filament gets deformed in the ceramic part (the one before the nozzle) and gets stuck.
If this happens, it means you’re overheating the filament.

 • Check if the thermistor is correctly set in its hole.
 • Check if the PTFE tube inside the plastic part is exactly 23 mm long
 • Check if the fans are working correctly
 • Lower the temperatures : 195-200° for PLA and 220° for ABS.
 • Change the retraction settings as stated before
 • Check if the hobbed bold is correctly tightened and positioned so the filament doesn’t slip
