Yes, noticed that before a print the printer purges filament with the nozzle at the bed.
I’m used to the bed going down and the filament is priming before going in for the skirt.
Seems strange or is this a feature on the 8400?

Nobody else has this issue? Or is correct behviour for this printer?
This is to prime the nozzle.
You will find this command is the Start G-code.
G1 E10 F100
Thanks, yes priming is good but I’d rather see it a bit above the buildplate. As it is now, it’s squeezed to the Buildtak.
If it isn’t squeezed on the bed, it might not stick and be dragged inside the object boundaries causing whatever damage to your print.
The nozzle burns the Buildtak when it’s heating and staying at the bed. Which value do I need to change in the G-code to make the nozzle stay slightly above the bed when it’s heating?
Thanks,
