Nozzle 1 temperature drops after a few minutes

Hello,

I have a Vertex with two nozzle. I print PLA at 195°C. ( Thanks to Raby  )

Since a few days Nozzle 1 is not able to maintain the temperature. After a few minutes, the temperature drops to room temperature and the printer continues to “print” without filament.

I have not updated the orginal firm ware…could this be the problem?

Are you getting any warnings in the log area?

Hello,
sorry for my late reply!

Tomorrow I will check if the red LED is still blinking when the temperature drops.
(Currently I’m printing a job with the other head)

I took a screenshot of the temperature curve, maybe this could ring a bell?

I made this video this morning: https://youtu.be/LC-WdhdX9BQ

When the temerature drops, the red LED stays on.

I also see that the curve “output extruder” doesn’t look normal. (but to be honest I don’t understand that curve)

I hope this could ring a bell

From your video it seems the problem lies with the heater : when hot there must be a break in the circuit : check the integrity of the wires. If they’re OK then you might have a bad heater cartridge.

Hello,

It was indeed the heating cartridge which was not working.

Velleman sent me a new one, it works perfect!

Thank you for your advice!
