Nozzel blocket by printing fast steps in a object!

Hello everybody.

I am desperate and do not know more: My K8400 prints perfectly normal object set with not complicated. Abe whom I as these objects print where the print head needs to move quickly, clogging the nozzle and jammed filament on pulley.

Here the objects that do not succeed (photos): drive.google.com/folderview?id= … sp=sharing

My configuration:
Printer: Vertex K8400
Filament: PLA (use in all objects)
Software: Vertex 3D printer Repetier Host. V.1.0.6. (Win 10 with Parallels on Mac OS 10.11)
Firmware: V.M1-V1.4-H1

Lower the printing speed and look into the retraction setting would be the first suggestion. What is your settings for it?

Print speed
X/Y Travel speed
Retraction distance
Retraction speed and the Retraction restart distance

// Marlark

Mostly this is due to bad alignment of the X and Y rods. Check if these can move freely and oil is applied.

Hi Marlark! Thanks for your message. I have in Repetier-Host v1.0.6 standard configuration. I fill it in your message.

Print speed -> slow 42mm/s, fast 48mm/s
X/Y Travel speed -> 180mm/s
Retraction distance -> 9mm
Retraction speed and the Retraction restart distance -> 70mm/s & 0.1mm/s

Hmm the print speed looks fairly ok around 40mm/s for that object should be good enouph.

However change the travelspeed from 180 to somewhere around 80-125 and you can lower the retraction distance to around 4-4,5

Raise the retraction speed to 150mm/s and remove the retraction restart distance.

Check also that the outline underspeed is around 60% of what the printspeed is and the support structure speed around 80% of printspeed.

Test that and see how it goes.

Hi // Marlark

With your configuration needed this printjob 0.5h longer from 6.5h and worked without problems. The Result was perfect! : D

Nice that it helped you out :slight_smile:
