Not working on ubuntu default arduino ide

This shield is not working on the default arduino ide of ubuntu 13.10.

This shield is not working on the latest beta release of arduino ide 1.5.8.

Both versions suffer form Library compilation errors.

Its working on the stable release 1.0.6. Tested under windows.

Yes we know, it only works on the latest stable Arduino IDE 1.0.6

The library is a 3rd party library, perhaps they have updates
