printer has been built, but still lot of to do…
The most serious problem: printer does not recognize the inserted SD card…
I have checked wiring, disassembled the LCD block, checked/measure the mechanical switch…working.
What else to check? Any advice?
To be honest, I do not have a “genuine” SD card, but Micro SD in adapter, I have tried 1GB and 8GB…

You have to slice your project first and put the G-Code on the SD card.
If it still does not see the card you will need to init the card (this is in the menu)

This is not my first printer, and the firmware in previous one worked different way…
