No print after change of material

I changed from PLA to ABS just to test. Printed some objects without problems in ABS. Then unloaded the ABS without problems.
Then loading the PLA but the material does not go through when trying to print. Normally when loading I get some “spagetti” coming out at first but this does not happen now.
Should I heat the nozzle to 255 and try to clear it ? I read this recommendation somewhere.

If you overheat the hot end you’ll burn the PLA and it will be even more stuck. When loading PLA after ABS it’s quite hard to get rid of the ABS remains. Try this : first to unload the PLA and then heat the nozzle manually at the ABS temp. When it has reached the temperature, immediately load the PLA with the PLA load option. Don’t let the nozzle too long at 240° or the PLA in it will burn.

Thanks raby, it worked fine.
I unloaded the pla, then pushed it back in close to the hot end. Varmed with preheat to 245C, then immediatly loaded the pla again.
The only nerveous bit was that the pla does not load untill the hot end is down to 210C so I thought it might not push out the abs at that low temp but it did.

You’re welcome:) Happy printing.

As the stock temperatures are actually too high, the PLA load function can load ABS without any problem. I’m printing PLA at 195° and ABS at 220°.
