Very sorry - realised that I had the Voltage regulators the wrong way round - works fine now.
I am getting the same message as a previous post that received no replies:
“No PIC on board
Programmer must be set to PGM mode
PIC type mismated with software”
I have checked all of the obvious things - Type of PIC, PGM mode and jumper settings.
Help would be greatly appreciated!
When you say "works fine now. " do you mean that the green power LED is lit when the main switch is in ‘Standby’, and LD9 flashes when the main switch is set to ‘Run’ or ‘Prog’?
Basic checks:
- Are you supplying the K8048 with enough voltage?
Mine runs fine with a 12V supply from an ATX PC PSU, but Velleman recommends an un-regulated AC/DC adapter which can supply at least 15V.
- Are you using a true COM port, and not a replicator such as a USB/COM adaptor?
USB/COM adaptor cables will not work with the K8048.
- Has anything been damaged by installing the Voltage reg incorrectly?
Maybe Velleman can answer this more accurately…
Once the above conditions have been satisfied, a solution to your problem can be narrowed down.
