Hi,
I can’t get any spare nozzles!!
What can I do now?
My printer is not printing because nozzle is tight.
No way to get it free again.
So I need a new one.
But nothing to get anywhere.
And now?
How will Velleman send new nozzles to the users?
I hope I’ll get an answer here.
Did you get a confirmation from Velleman that no nozzles are avaliable or is it info from your sales representative ?
I managed to get a new just a few weeks ago.
I can’t find a shop to buy a new nozzle.
Also the shop by Velleman has no spare nozzle to buy.
The store where you bought the Vertex should be able to supply spare parts.
Did you talk to Velleman or did you look at a web page ?
I assume you can remove the existing nozzle otherwise you wouldn’t be able to replace it with a new one. If this is correct, then the standard nozzle is just a piece of brass with a 0.35mm hole in it. Remove it, heat it in a flame and use the shaft of a 1.5mm drill to push the filament out. When you have done this use a thin piece of wire to clean the 0.35mm hole… You may still have some carbonised filament in the nozzle which may cause it to block again. If you have access to an ultrasonic cleaner use that to remove the carbonised material, otherwise re-install the nozzle and when it blocks again repeat the process.
@rrekwa:
Sounds simple and good. I’ll give it a try.
Hope it would help to clean the nozzle.
So please cross fingers for me
EDIT:
It seems it was a very good tip.
Nozzle is printing again.
Thank you ver much.
My dealer could get anything from Velleman in 48h …
For blocked nozzle, just put it acetone … brazz don’t care of acetone but ABS, PLA and any plastic we use for printing can’t survive. With ultrasonic cleaner it’s only faster. For PLA sodium hydroxide also work.
Chemical solution is better to mechanical one, as people with two left hands have no chance to damage the stuff.
