Next Firmware Update?

Will Velleman bring up a firmware update to address all these small issues like the correct extrusion setting
and the issue with the claimed wrong temperature sensor type in the firmware(while back I remember) and probably more issues?
I wasn’t around the forum for weeks but I wondered why there are no more firmware updates?

Or is this left to the “community” to figure out and hopefully some good guys will share their knowledge for good?
Like the wiki: k8xxx-3dprinters.crimed.be/w … 3D_Printer

Maybe updated slicing settings will be released.

But for the firmware there’s not immediately an update needed.
The temp sensor is correct in the current firmware.

That sounds interesting, new slicer settings

Cheers,
Dylan

As Velleman uses modified Marlin, nothing stops you from downloading the latest development branch of it, changing configuration and pins file to get it working on your printer.

I don’t see the point if there are not “bugs” that can be sorted out that way.

Correct extrusion setting is something that you need to do for yourself and your printer, as there are many variables there that can be different for your and mine copy of printer. I did it for myself, changed steps per mm for extruder so that I get 100mm extruded when I ask for 100mm.

It allows me to have 100% on extrusion multiplier in slicer and no strings or problems when extruding.

Next thing calibrated was temperature with pid temp regulation and that’s it, nothing more to change as everything really works great.
