my new z-screw is working since some weeks and generating much better results.
ordered these items
flexible coupler 5mm <> 5mm
Trapezium Leadscrew TR14x4
Trapezium Nut TR14x4
had to print the holder for the nut.
no changes to the existing hardware!
Very nice,
Where have you bought it ? and how many cost ?

i got the stuff from here
Cost are about 70€. the rod is 1 meter and gives 2 pcs. you will need a lathe.
Why have you choice TR14x4 ?
Why do you use a flexible coupler 5mm <> 5mm and not 5mm <> 8mm because the nominal diameter is 8.5mm ?
Can you share stl file of your piece ?

This leadscrew gives a 0.02mm resolution with one step. this is flexible in choosing layerheight.
there is a 5mm shaft at the end of the rod, made with the lathe. the couplings i found had always the same diameter on booth sides.
the stl has some errors, need this to fix first.

Hi,
I’m also looking to replace the z-axis.
can you tell how you changed the z-axis movement for the new, bigger pitch? is this done in Repetier?
thanks in advance
