im new in vb and i was wandering if the program that velleman is giving on the web is in open sorce if yes how do i open it. i have vb 6.0 and im getting problemes opening it.
if it is not open sorce dos someone know about a site that i can download open sorce for controlling k8056?
if someone can give me en idea i will be very happy.

At the bottom of the k8056 product page on the Velleman website it says:
" Linux software for K8056 relay board

I don’t know whether it has the status of “open source”, but the download available from the Velleman site at
velleman.be/downloads/files/ … b_demo.zip
contains an example written in Visual Basic.

If you install the example, the source code will also be installed.
so…it’s “open source”.
Please examine the source code of the K8056 test program.
It will allow you to figure out how to use the COM port.
If you do not have a lot of experience, use the test program source as a template for your proper software, just remove every object and code you do not require.
How can i find the source code?
