Hi, right I now have a 24 volt power supply to heat the hotbed and a power expander, now what i really need is a guide like the Velleman build guide to attach the parts to my printer, Please, help me, I have read the post i was sent to before, that was way beyond my understanding, ted
Would be quite hard to tell you what to connect where, whithout knowing your parts.
Can you post images?
I have ordered this 24vdc power supply: banggood.com/Wholesale-24V-1 … 50578.html
and a step down converter: banggood.com/8A-24V-TO-12V-S … 27773.html

And how do you want to connect the heatbed output ?
(Power expander)
I have the same power supply and step down converter.
You need also to build a mosfett controler, see :http://forum.velleman.eu/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=9598
this controller turns on the 24vdc power supply for the heatbed, it is controlled from the velleman controller.
The step down converter converts the 24vdc to 15vdc for the velleman controller, so you only need one power supply.
you have to adjust the step down controller with a multimeter.
Hi thanks for replies, but you have already lost me, mos-fet ??, i can cook you anything you want to eat, but this electrical, I have no idea, sorry, i need pictures or a very very simple guide to follow
Your cookbook is here.
LOL, thank you very much, lets get cooking
I founf the cheapest way of controlling the power to the heatbed was with a DC 12V 1CH 1 Channel relay module Load AC 250V/10A, DC 30V/10A Expansion Module that costs two euros. oonnect the the thermistor to one side and the board will switch the power to the heat bed. Some on this site are disparaging about realay and prefers MOSFET’s but I find the relay much more convenient as I can hear the heatbed switching on and off rather than having to monitor an led. My ecperience has been that its response sensitivity is that that tha displayed temperature on the lcd never varies by even one degree,
The clicking of the relay gets irritating after a while…
I changed it to MOSFET.
Hi, thank you for all your replies, still lost, but will sort it or blow it up, thank you
