I have a new VMA02.
First it worked, but now only the LED flashes 7 times if I press rec or erase.
Nothing happens, other buttons do not have a reaction.
Looks that this is a kind of error code like beeps if a PC mainboard starts.
Does anybody have information or know the reason for this LED flashes?

We are not aware of any error code that causes the led to flash 7 times.
Since it worked before and now it doesn’t, something must have changed.
If you cannot spot any mechanical problem, then we suspect the IC.
If desired, you can return the shield for inspection/repair.
Suspected that maybe some rubbish was in the registers.
I tried the ka02_sample_code.ino to read status and reset everything via the arduino serial monitor.
First it replied with not-ok but after some change/reset/erase everything it now works.
Curious and I did not manage to realise which of all these actions get it working.
But in any case it is working again and next time I will be a little bit more deterministic.
