Good morning,
I am looking for a detailed description on what a specific part of a specific circuit does in the Velleman multifuntional relay switch k8015 h80151p-2 the online layout shows the circuit in question on page 15. The part of that circuit that I am inquiring about is the 4 diodes labelled D2 D3 D5 D4. The block that contains these four diodes is located on the bottom left hand corner. I am interested in what the function of that part is. I know it is not a bridge rectifier.
Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Please check the diagram on page 15 of the manual, it is a bridge rectifier.

It is in a bridge rectifier configuration but is not being used as one in the circuit. I am completly stumped on what is does in the circuit and how it does it.
Hello,
Looks like a full wave bridge rectifier to me.
Converts AC to DC
It’s a 100% bridge rectifier, and it is used as a 100% normal bridge rectifier when you feed 12 V AC. If you feed 12 V DC, it still acts like a normal bridge rectifier would do: letting only 2 diode conduct.
