several weeks ago I assembled the K8095 MP3-player. On the whole, it works great, but after some playing time (say 2 hours or about) it randomly starts to skip parts of music. Resembles to needle skip on vinyl player.
Does anybody has the same experience? And, has somebody discovered the reason (I can imagine of several: bad power supply, bad software on PIC 18…whateveritwas (some buffer overflow or smth), some incompatibility of SD card)? Not having PIC source code, I cannot say anything about software quality, of course.
But in the present state I would not to build the K8095 into my '56 Cadillac radio that was my original idea.
We have no experience with this issue.
It has never been reported before.
Most likely, it is related to the SD card.
Did you try with a different brand/make/type ?
Another thing that comes to my mind: maybe it is a thermal issue.
Check the different supply voltages when it shows this behaviour. Check power components such as regulators and amplifier for overheating.

It did not skipped once, however, it get hot after a while, i just made a cooling sink to prevent a failure and now it’s much better.
