Mounting the 298mm Rod on the printhead

I cannot seem to be able to fix the ends on the 298mm Rod, the fit is very tight, I managed to get both end on the Rod but cannot seem to archive the 33,6cm, cannot get them closer than 33,8cm.

During the various attempts with lots of force, I’m also sure my nozzle is already clogged with a piece of paper towel, which I used to hold the Rods without touching (Gloves were already torn).

Hope Velleman-support can help out!

I have experienced the same here.
Then again, 33.6cm might even be too narrow, I advise you to try to fit the end with out the print head, see if you can find the exact distance that allows smooth movement of the rods first. Then, repeat the procedure with the print head attached, if it works out the same for you, the length adjustment is then already a bit easier.

Thank you h60 for your reply,
I have just removed the IGLIDUR bearings to check the Rods, and on both sides they are inserted all the way!
I will try to mount anyway and see how it goes.

I have mounted the print-head in the enclosure, and it seems to work with 33,8 mm after a little adjusting movement along both axes is smooth.
Velleman should correct this in their manual as I was in the assumption the length should be 33,6 mm, I tried to adjust with all little force and I’m pretty sure my nozzle is already damaged by this.

I have send an e-mail to support-at-velleman for them to replace this nozzle.
