I want to install a mk3 on my k8400.
I buy the PSU , mk3, and I search a power expander.

PSU et Lit : OK.
L’usage d’un relais est toujours possible mais c’est bruyant et moins fiable à la longue. De plus il faut mettre une diode entre les pattes du bobinage. Le voltage de commande à la sortie de la carte contrôleur est de 15V. Donc il faut être sûr que le relais 24V sera actionné correctement à 15V.
Un accesoire utile est de mettre un isolant en dessous du lit pour limiter la déperdition calorifique (du liège p. ex.).
I used a 18V relay (with the diode as indicated) driven by the motherboard, which commutes the 220V input of the heated bed supply (for switching less current and no power loss).
Not great engineering but both power supply and relay tolerate this for 6+ months with no sign of weakening…
The power expander solution is more elegant.
