MK194 modification

Hi there, I was wondering, can the MK194 kit be modified to use potentiometers?, i.e., for the volume and channel sweep, does anyone also know of a way to use this kit in a similar way to the MK 118 kit, with the inclusion of a kit23 opamp function generator?. This seems to be the current setup of many home-made ghost boxes.

Many thanks

Unfortunately, the FM front-end is digitally controlled, so you cannot connect a potmeter.
We had to discontinue the MK118 radio because the old analog FM front-end was discontinued by the manufacturer and there was no replacement.

Thank you very much for replying to my question, is there potential in the future to release a radio kit that would act as a sweep radio, i.e. what have been used recently as ghost boxes?, the discontinued mk118 radio was being used for this, with the addition of an opamp function generator, which would sweep through the channels.

Possibly, if we would be able to source an analog front end that is affordable and available in large quantities and for a prolonged period.
