MK194: 9 Pins at the fm-Module, but 8 solder joints onboard

Hello,

i have bought the kit MK194 (FM-Receiver), because I want to teach a boy to solder this Saturday. The first try of the boy to solder an electronic kit has to work (naturally) to avoid any frustration. That´s the reason why I have a question in advance of the soldering:

There are 9 Pins in the middle of the module „MW004FV0-S78B“, but there are only 8 solder joints on the circuit board. The third pin has no solder Joint.

As I opened the module, I could see, that the third pin isn´t a blind pin – it leads to a SMD-Component (Diode?). Will the radio work in spite of not soldering this Pin? Or does the Module „MW004FV0-S78B“ not fit to the circuit board?

As you can see pin 7 is not used.
