Hi there,
I’m planning on using the mk173 mini kit to produce a lighting effect.
I have 2 questions that need answering;
-
Instead of using a 9 volt battery, I’m hoping to use a USB cable to supply the power. Will this work?
-
I also plan to change the LEDs. Could you let me know what voltage and current the output of each channel is please so I can modify the circuit?
Cheers,

Unit will work fine with USB power (5V).
Max. output/ channel = 20mA

Thanks, is there any way to add a pot to enable me to adjust the speed of the sequence?
Also I want to replace the LEDs. Basically, I want to take off each of the original LEDs and replace them with 2 LEDs with these ratings;
Type A 3.3vf, 30mA
Type B 2vf, 50mA
Will this work, and will I need resistors?

Speed is determined internally and cannot be changed.
Leds can be used without altering supplied resistors.
