MK171 voice changer - extend wires to speaker & mic

Greetings!

I’m mounting the pcb of this kit on my wrist for a costume, and running wires up to my mouth for the mic, and my throat for the speaker. Is there anything I should be concerned about with the extra wire length?

Also, what should I avoid or look for when choosing a microphone?

Make sure to use shielded wire for the microphone.
You need an electret microphone, not a dynamic microphone.

No, it will not work. You do not need the amplifier.
A simple electret will do the job.
