Hi,
are both kits able to be use on television set?
Please advise.
I have a project here which needs to incporate remote control to mute or pause the TV or Hi-fi system.This kit looks similiar to what i want but i would prefer if it is using RF but doubt velleman has he kit.
Anybody can comment further?

This kit has been designed to adjust line-level audio signals.
It has nothing to do with a TV set (unless the TV is equipped with a line-out and you use a separate amp and speaker to amplify the sound).
K8022 is a RF remote controlled volume control.

Thanks for the advise, but looks like K8022 can only control volume up/down. how abt muting and pausing?

K8022 features two inputs, so if you select the unused input, you get a ‘mute’ function.
No idea what you mean by ‘pausing’…

It means to pause the music system while it is in use.
Just a little heads up to my project

Objective
To either mute /pause/volume down the Hi-fi, music system when an incoming call is recieved
incoming call->telephone detector circuit->RF TX->RF reciever->mute /pause/volume down
