MK163 not running properly

I realised the MK163 volume control. It’s running under 9V Continous. It has been running for some hours properly and now I got parasites at low volume. When I turn it on/off led n° 2 (RX) is flickering until I push on one of the buttons of the remote.

Did I make a mistake?

This behaviour is correct, at power-on, the unit stays in the ‘mute’-position until a button is pushed…
Regarding the parasites, this is hard to tell. Either poorly shielded cables, bad contacts, extreme interference source, etc…
