I build the have the MK158 (LCD messageboard) kit and it looks like the PIC is dead. I already checked the board and display and everything looks to be o.k. (no shorts, good connections, power on the right places).
I put the PIC in a pic progammer and that also gives an error so my conclusion is the the PIC is dead. I went to the shop to swap the PIC but they where out of MK158 kits but I did get a new blank PIC16F630.
I want to use my kit this weekend for another project so I cant wait to get a replacement PIC. Can anyone send me the firmware/compiled code so I can program it to the blank PIC and get this kit working ?

Ahh ok, I will mail-in the broken pic. In the mean time I will try to write my own software to get it working.
To do that I need some extra info:
Since everything is already built I cant read the back of the LCD module to see the brand/type. Could you till me the brand/type of the lcd used or if possible the datasheet of the used LCD? The kit came with a basic cicuit diagram though its a bit small could you send me the digital version of the diagram of the kit?
