I have found a slight bit of information on here about this piece of kit but not quite the information i was looking for so i was wondering if somebody could help me. The components of this device can be seen here as part of the manual http://www.velleman.eu/downloads/0/minikits/manuals/manual_mk151.pdf . I dont know how Digital LED clocks work but in particular i need to know how this one works and what the components do and how they effect the circuit and so on. Is there anybody that could please lend a helping hand as i have bought this kit but have no idea how it actually works?

Sorry, explaining how circuits work is not something we can offer. We simply do not have the time nor the people to do this.
Maybe a forum member can explain in a couple of words, however, with zero electronics knowledge, this will not be easy to understand.
If somebody tried im sure it would help
