MK139 Removing Delay

I’m new to this forum so please forgive me if there are protocols that I haven’t observed.

We just built a MK139 clap switch.
It works fine but I need to make a couple of mods.
The main one is to remove the delay between sound being detected and the relay firing.
I also want to be able to increase the sensitivity.

I saw on a very old post this information

MK139 is already very sensitive. Further increasing the sensitivity can reduce it’s reliability and make it susceptible to noise etc…
Anyway, to make it more sensitive, reduce R2 to 1K.

Regarding the delay, this is determined in the controller and cannot be changed.
If you just need a relay pulse when a sound is detected, remove controller and connect pin 4 with pin 7
Please experiment, as we cannot support modifications.

Can someone confirm this is still the case, ie the kit hasn’t been changed since it was posted in 2008.
Also would someone let me know which component is the controller and how to determine the pin nos.
Finally do I remove the controller and leave it out or do I replace it after bridging pin 4 and 7

Many Thanks
Will…

Unit has not been changed.
Controller is the PIC12F629.
Please Google for IC pinout description.
Leave the controller out after bridging.

Many thanks for your swift reply
