Hi, first post… I want to control the temperature of a heated seat in a car that has no built in thermostat, the seat draws 6.5A at 12v could this kit be modified to handle that current? or can it handle that already.
Should not be a problem for the relay, however, the PCB tracks cannot handle this current.
Either you can solder your wiring directly onto the relay pins or you could scrape off the laquer from the PCB tracks and put an extra layer of thin on them.
Be extremely careful with in-car wiring, to avoid fire.

Thank you…by the way what is the max current the relay can take at 12v I do not understand how to convert maximum loadings at say 120v or 24v down to 12v
Relay states 10A for DC currents.
Thank you
