How are 2 MK133 coupled to make 8 inputs possible ?

(connect 1,2,3 of board 1 with 1,2,3 of board 2. Only 1 board requires a battery).
Even though it says you can link two boards together, I have successfully linked six together to give me a 24 player system. As well as only needing one battery (or DC power supply) you can leave off all of the Quizmaster circuitry from all but the first board.

Just connect pins 1, 2 and 3 on all of the boards in a chain - I have connected 8 boards together before now
