Hi

Has anyone any idea how I can make the quiz table non-latching?, i.e. the led goes out when any button is released.

Remove T2, T3, T4, T5. It might be worth to give it a try.

Hi, Thanks for the suggestion, but, I already tried removing those transistors, and I got the non-latching, but could activate other leds while a button was pressed. I still need the exclusivity while holding down a button.

Strange. Are you sure the exclusivity was working with the non-modified kit ?

Yes, I made sure everything was working first, and removing the four transistors was my first thought and was sure that it would work, so yes you are right it is strange. Have you any idea which component(s) provide the exclusivity?

You are right. At first sight, it seemed obvious, but now that I’ve studied the diagram, I’ve noticed that removing the transistors will not work. Furthermore, I have the impression that it will require an extensive modification (not to say a completely different circuit) in order to make it non latching.

I have had a good look round for another circuit that will give me non-latching exclusivity, but I can only find latching ones, so not sure what to do. If you think of any circuit or know of any thing that will do the job, then this would be much appreciated.
