I recently bought the mk118 radio kit. It was a lot of fun to put together, but the volume was a bit quieter than I expected. It is loud enough that I believe it is put together correctly, but not loud enough to use out in the garage like I had hoped. I know Velleman has some amp kits, would any of those work in conjunction with this radio? Any other ways to boost the volume?
If you remove the LM386 and connect connection 3 of that IC socket to the input of e.g. the 7 Watt amp, you will have more power. You also a more powerfull speaker then.
