I have built kit MK118 but I am having an issue getting it to work. I get power just fine but I am not getting radio out it. I do hear some hum and a frequency noise if I touch the bottom around RV1 and IC2. Is there any idea what may be preventing it from working? The solder joints look good. IC2 is in the right direction. A lot of noise when I touch the bottom of RV1 but no radio.

Difficult to judge without being able to examine your kit.
Can you supply links to hi-res and sharp pics of your assembly (both solder and component side).
Maybe we can take a look and provide feedback.
