MK111 Timer questions

I have built this kit and now want to mount it in a case, to use it as a camera timer for time-lapse.
Can I remote mount the LED to the outside of the case? Is it a 12 V LED?
Can I change the trim pots to std pots of the same value to mount on the case?

Cheers

Michael

You can mount the led on the outside of the case. It is a standard low current red led (1.7V).
You can replace the trimmers by pots.

In addition, If I wanted to extend the interval-the pause time, could I change the value of the CI or C2? or the Pot?
What value would you suggest for a pause time of 20-60 minutes?

Thanks

Michael

Unit will not operate reliable with longer times.
If you insist, you can increase C3.
Sorry, no values, please experiment.

Thanks for the quick response, is there a reliable interval timer kit from Vman?
Anything that is programmable or has a delay time display?

Thanks

Gildo.

K8015 is programmable but no display.

Can the pulse interval be increased such that it is on for 30 seconds and off for 30 seconds?

Most likely yes, however you will have to experiment to get the required component values.

I was hoping for something a little more specific. I have reviewed the data sheet for the chip and the MK111 connections don’t seem to be the same so I am unable to tell which resistor is RA and which is RB as labeled in the data sheet. I’m thinkng that R1 on the MK111 could be the right one to increase to lengthen the pulse interval…?

Yes, that is correct.
