I just bought and assembled 2 MK102 kits both have started flashing correctly on initial start and stayed steady for about 15 minutes then one side started to fail to flash. In checking the voltage going to each light side 1 is 2.7 volts and side 2 is about 1 volt. I am using a 12.7 volt lead acid battery to power the kit and have 3 LEDs on each output pulling about 60mA. What am I doing wrong and how can I get this working correctly? I am making an outdoor light house, with a solar panel to keep the battery charged.
Just a guess but you may have burnt the LEDs out with the 12 volts.
these are the specs
consumption: ± 8mA
power supply: 9V battery (not incl.)
dimensions: 1.3 x 1.25 x 0.6"
The LEDs work only get 1 volt on side 2 not enough to light side 1 gets over 2 volts.
I made this to help I hope.
Your voltages may be different because of the battery.
Both RVs are set to the middle.
Did you check your battery as well?
The battery reads 12.7 V and is fully charged the veritable resistors are presently set to longer times but it does not matter where they are set one side (2) does not light after the first 4 or 5 cycles.
You should try a 9 volt battery before going to 12 volts.
This way the voltages will come close to the ones I posted.
