Hello,
I have a friend who has an adverse sensitivity to higher frequencies between 4.0kHz and 5.0kHz, these sounds, especially when excessive can cause her real discomfort. In an attempt to help her I am building the MK 136 as a “listening station” to allow her to adjust the sound level through her headphones. Is there a way I can add a notch filter to the kit and reduce frequencies at 4.5kHz?
This would be greatly appreciated.
Regards, Ken
Sorry, notch filters are quite complex and need to be designed from scratch, they are not something that you can add as an afterthought.
If the unit is used for listening to speech only (300-3KHz), you could increase C11 and C12 so that bandwidth is reduced to 4kHz.
(sorry, no values, please experiment).
Thanks, I’ll give that a try!
