Can someone provide a source of the mirror tile and suitable tape in Australia?
so since im not from Australia its hard for me to say where.
however i do have some things you can look for (this might be saying the obvious but whatever)
first of all on my print bed i use the GP8200, this is a glass plate provided by velleman for the k8200.
its tempered glass for heat reasons of course and basically if you cant get that any tempered glass of about 20cm by 20 cm will work
also Ikea used to have mirrors called sorli they came in a 4-pack and were cheap, sad thing is that they stopped selling them, but maybe your lucky and are able to find some.
for tape i always use TESA 4308. (blue paintertape) so loyal DIY store maybe

I use cheap hair spray on the bed.
This has proven to make the project stick to the bed very well.
I have been using Sketchup (free version) and 123D for modeling.
There are a lot of useful videos on Youtube.com to show how to use them.
Not realy a hero when it comes to designing
I use 123d design from autodesk.
Its free and when you get the hang off it kind of easy,
A lot of trial and error does the trick for me so far.
