Minimize stringing

Hi,

What are your settings to eliminate stringing while printing?
I have set my retraction distance to 3mm and speed to 140 mm/s
My travelspeed has been set at 100 mm/s.

Retraction distance 3.5
Retraction speed 160
Travel 250

Almost no stringing, at most with multiple objects.

Edit: This is in Vertex Repetier, In S3D the settings are different.

Hi I changed my retraction speed accordingly to yours from 30 to 140mm/s.
Distance was 3mm
But where do I find travel speed ( is it the X/Y-movements in general) I am using S3D

I read in another forum that stringing can also be decreased by lowering temperature.

try printing at 190C for PLA

Fixed by increasing the travel speed.

What did you set it to?

110mm/s is enough for me otherwise small objects are printed ugly since the head rapidly leaves the objects when it goes to another one.
