Hey guys,
I just want to check that the “maxtemp” warning that comes up needs a replacement thermistor, or does something more serious need replacing?

It can also be a short between the wires of the thermistor.
I need to replace one of the thermistors… Is is as simple as solder the new one in? Do I need to have the white protective coat on it too?

Cool - thanks!
Hey everyone,
I’ve noticed that the white coating is damaged, meaning that the thermistor is earthing out on it. Is it possible to use something like heat shrink to prevent it earthing, or do I have to buy a sample of the white coat?
If I do have to buy the white coating, can someone tell me where I can buy it or what the name of it is?
