Mathematica and k8055

First of all, hello! I’m new here having just got a k8055 board. I just wanted to say how great it is and that I’m using it with Mathematica (32- and 64-bit versions). I was wondering if there are any other Mathematica users out there using the k8055.

Cheers,

Mark

Nobody? That’s a shame :frowning:

Hello, anyway.

I don’t mathematica is very known among the people frequenting this forum

Oh well. I appreciate it is an expensive program to buy commercially, but I figured there might be some people here who were at academic institutions where you can usually get a free site (or very cheap) license. It’s actually quite easy to program with and works very well controlling and monitoring the k8055. I’ll be using it to drive some research experiments (I’m a biologist), but also to make MIDI controllers for my music projects. If anyone is interested in using Mathematica and would like some example code then feel free to ask.

I’m sure it’s a great tool to work with, especially if you’re working on those kinds of projects. Thanks for wanting to share your knowledge with the community

Hi,

I am a new user too,
please explane matematics
my Engllish is not so good.
has it to do with calculation?

I think you will find that Mathematica is a bit too rich for many–I know that, like Labview, it doesn’t fit into my fixed income retirement budget…

on the internet (WIKI) i found the answer.
you can do the mathematica on the computer.
in visual basic you can do al the known calculations.

just the input/output is for the hardware, via the 8055 card.
20 ms each command.
i realise, this is a verry low speed, but the price is also verry low.
