I apologise for my naivety but could someone please tell me what the connectors on the main board are called. I ask because I am building a heat bed for my K8400 and I want to connect to the heat bed thermistor and power sockets and I need to buy the appropriate connectors
I am also searching for those… I was thinking to buy a replacement cable for the extruder.
Then you have a lot of connectors
Cheers,
Dylan
Google on “molex kk 2.54” and you will find the connectors
Hi Dylan, thanks for your response. From what I can glean from the web they are coded as 2510. They usually have a couple of letters in front but the impression I get is that they identify the manufacturer. Anyway I ordered some from ebay and I will let you know if they fir.
Oké I will hear it in the couple of weeks/days.
Cheers,
Dylan
What you’re looking for is that : http://www.reichelt.de/index.html?&ACTION=446&LA=0
Be aware, they’re selling the contacts separately.
Hi all,
I’m a new owner of the K8400 and broke my buildtak plate by removing my very first print so already ordered a mk3 heated bed and powersupply. I also had some troubles finding the right connectors but found and ordered a couple which seem to fit fine. ( alhough the 2 pin one is white instead of beige it fits the board fine ).
I’ve added the housings + terminals to my webshop: repairwebshop.com/3dprinting.html

Just for curiosity, did you solder the terminals or crimp them?
The crimping pliers are unaffordable, at least the ones i found til now.
Maybe there is a “cheap” chinese one ?
I didn’t do either at this moment since I’m waiting for my crimp plier but I’m planning to crimp the terminals.
I will make a complete write up with pictures on this forum as soon as I get all the components ( crim pliers, heated board and powersupply are on its way ). I will probably add a correct crimp plier to the website and probably an option to order a connector crimped with cables of a correct length.
For now I only have the housing + separate solderless terminals on my website.

What did your crimp pliers cost, and where did you buy it?
Just asking cause i completely rewire my K8200 at the moment.
By now i have modelcraft connectors on the X/Y seld and Z carriage, and the “solder wormed” original connectors at the board.
I’d like to make the round cables directly plug into the board, that way one could make a wiring harness with preconfigured cables.
cheers,
Christian
I have a duratool D03007 on backorder, it could be some weeks before it ships, costs are 6.64EUR excluding Tax so I will probably sell them for around 12.50-14.00 (incl. tax) on my website. ( taxes and bank / paypall costs add up when you sell only a few things each month ).
Maybe even better pliers are something like : amazon.com/Ansen-Tools-8-Inc … B00B21CGNK this might probably be cheaper and in stock at this moment.

Thanks, but i recently found out that the pliers i have already perfectly fit not only for the APM crimp plugs i used but also perfectly work for
The PSK (That’s how they are called at Reichelt) board connectors and couplers.
I have this one here, for years …
I found something out a couple days ago while I was busy with mounting the Ikea Dioder LED’s on my Vertex.
Ikea used the same connectors in their Dioder LED set. So if you bought a set, you have immediately 3 very long wires with 2-pin connectors left.
Perfect when you need to connect a heated bed. You use 1 cable for the power expander and the other one to connect your thermistor.
Cheers,
Dylan
If you use the IKEA RGB LED (viewtopic.php?f=64&t=13348) with your printer, you can use the extra cables to connect to the Mainboard:
