Low flow material

in manual mode i give the command to extrude 10 mm of material at 40 speed, it’s OK
when working the flow of material is 0 or a little more.

Is a parameter of slicer ?

The problem appears only in the first layer. That means poor aderence, wires of materials

You should make sure the nozzel of the extruder is not to close to the bed.
You may want to go through the settings and make sure they match the manual.

The settings are OK, the distance is 0,25 mm and parallel in 0,02 mm (controlled with comparator). Only the Borders are not good, the filling is OK. The nozzle is free (dismounted and controlled).

could you post a picture of the problem?
You will need to use a free picture hosting site and put the link up here.

Problem solved. A little part of material was in the extruder near the press lever. This part was between lever and the filament guide. The pressure on the wire was to low.
Increased the temperature to 195°C
Thanks

Thanks for the update
Something to watch for

Hello, fguarisco.

I seem to have a similar problem since two days. Could you elaborate a little more, how you found out about the stuck material? I almost completely disassembled the extruder housing just to find out, that some small pieces of PLA were stuck inside. They fell out … and the printer printed again.

Nevertheless, there seems to be a problem with the filament transport. Filament transport will not work correctly anymore (transport wheel does not seem to have enough grip - transport wheel turns, but no filament is transported. removed filament raw material shows marks of the transport wheel - wheel seems to slip?)

Does anyone have an idea?
Printer printed O.k. until last PLA change. After changing the PLA, the transport wheel seems to have lost its grip on the filament.

In the meantime, I have:

  • taken the extruder assembly out of the extruder housing
  • disassembled and cleaned the extruder assembly (any ideas/hints for cleaning the extruder head are welcome)
  • half-disassembled the extruder housing and cleaned out some PLA pieces
  • reassembled the extruder housing & assembly

no improvement so far … the prints are currently unuseable.
