Lost programmeer shunt? Or other appearance than in manual?

I recently bought the vertex K8400. After I build it, I had to change the firmware because it had to be compatible with one head. To upload the program I needed a ‘prgramming shunt’. I did not found it in any of the bags and when I looked at the motherboard I did not see the blue thing that was on the picture in the manual. But there was this black thing.

I found it like it is placed on the picture, on one header. Is this the thing I need?
Or do I have to use something else and where can I buy that?

Yes, the small black rectangle is the jumper. It is common to store the jumper (when not programming the board) by sticking it onto only one of the JPROG pins.

Slide the jumper off of the pin. The underside will have two small holes. Line these up with the two JPROG pins to put the board into programming mode. Remove the jumper (and optionally, store it on just one pin) when you are done.

So I works the same as the blue one in the manual @Dr_Vegetable ?

Yes. The color of the plastic doesn’t matter - most jumpers you will find are black. All that matters is that it makes an electrical connection between the two JPROG pins.

Yes it works now!
Thank you very much!!!
