Can anyone help with a timer circuit suitable for a school project fisf feeder, needs to operate for approx. 30 seconds each 12 hours ?

Hi Jim,
Try Velleman kit K6000. If it’s a bit too advanced for your needs, a simple timer circuit can be built using a 555 timer IC. Configure it to run in astable mode and calculate the RC values to get an ON time of 30s, and OFF time off 43170s. If you need more info, contact me by e-mail.
